what is RunFAR?

RunFAR (Run for African Relief) is a very simple concept, and a great way for anyone to get involved in the mission of Covenant Mercies! Covenant Mercies exists to serve orphans in collaboration with indigenous local churches in the developing world. Over 1,200 children in Uganda, Zambia, and Ethiopia are currently receiving care through the Orphan Sponsorship Program.

To participate in RunFAR, simply sign up for any kind of fitness event (a run, walk, triathlon, bike race, etc.) in your own geographical area, and use it as an opportunity to ask your friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc., to make a gift to Covenant Mercies in support of your efforts. To sponsor a RunFAR participant and make a gift, please visit covenantmercies.org/donate and select the participant's name from the RunFAR drop-down box.

three easy steps to get involved...

1. Decide on your RunFAR fitness event. Remember that any type of fitness event is acceptable... choose the event that's right for you!

2. Register (below) for RunFAR, and receive a free RunFAR running shirt as our way of saying thanks for helping us to raise funds.

3. Begin training, and ask your friends, neighbors, and co-workers to support you. You will receive further details and a sample fundraising email after registration.

Register for RunFAR today, and allow the children of Covenant Mercies to provide you with some extra motivation toward your fitness goals. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@covenantmercies.org or 610.361.0606.
